Did any of you make it to the Skynyrd, Bad Co. show Friday night??? It was, if not more powerful then I remember seeing them back in the early 70's!!!
A few years ago my wife and I decided that we needed to rekindle our youthful relationship (mid 50's) and have a date night. We made it into the form of Rock concerts (dinner and a show) and it has been fantastic to take a road down memory lane every once in a while to feel like a kid again.
In the past 3 years we have been to see the: Eagles, Bon Jovi (wifes choice), Ted Nugent, Marshal Tucker, 38 Special, Bachman Turner and the list will continue.
Remember now, when they are gone there is no bringin em back so enjoy these Rock & Roll legends while ya can, like us, they ain't getting no younger!!!

Went to see Grace Potter and the Nocturnals last fall. Great show and great Rock band! Thunder storm around us with lots of lightning off behind the stage! No rain till after the show! Ma Nature loves rockers!

We went and watched the Skynyrd and Bad Co show on Thursday night. We had lawn tickets and got wet. It never did really rain just a heavy mist the whole time. It was a great show. I would go stand in the rain and watch it again.

Just caught Grace Potter and the Nocturnals at the Crystal Ballroom last night. I've been to a good 100 shows in my life, and this was easily in the top 5. I'm not the hugest fan of their albums, they're pretty good but not amazing, but live the band just ROCKS! They are an awesomely talented bunch, and sound much better live than on the records. I will not miss another Nocturnals show, that's for sure!

Glad to hear it was a good show. We have seen Paul Rodgers twice now and loved it. Was a mix of all the songs he has done over the years with the different groups he has fronted. We couldn't get down to see Bad Co. due to work, but we were able to fit them in our vacation in September in California. Already got the tickets and room booked. Looking forward to that night. If you want to watch a good DVD, pick up Bad Co. live at Wembley. The sound from the show is great and a good selection of songs.

The concerts are better now from these bands because they no longer have the cash flow like they did in their glory days. They simply can't afford drugs in the same quantity and quality. By the time they get to the Indian casino they have also had decades of additional practice. Makes sense that they would be just as good or better.

It's been fun and sometimes trying due to my hearing loss but all I have to do is pull out the hearing aid & remember how they sounded 30 years ago (which is laser like engraved into my memory banks). The wife lets me know what they are saying in between songs... I'll take what I can get at this point in my life.

went to a billy idol concert a few months ago in eugene oregon,It was high energy, me and the wife were dancing and jumping around all night... next day i had to fly into l.a.x., and low and behold billy idol and band were on my flight!.. he was gracious enough to talk to me for a few minutes.and one of his band members took our pic together. thats the last concert i went to...

COOL, I loved listening to him back in the day!!!! Drivin along with my buds & when he came on the radio we would all yell out "Good song" at the same time & start to groovin!!! Those were the days man...

I grew up in the South & love good ole Southern Rock & Roll, seen almost all of em. Including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Almond Brothers, Marshal Tucker Band, ZZ Top, Molly Hatchet, the Outlaws, 38 Special, Atlanta Rythum Section, Rosinton Collins, Blackfoot, Black Oak Arkansas, Wet Willie and Creedence Clearwater Revival (I know they were of Yankee descent but sang Southern enough for most of us).
I sure do wish that I could listen to newer music but with my hearing loss it all sounds like noise & can't comprehend the lyrics.

Going to see RUSH next month. Love them when I was a kid. Saw them in '84 at the Tacoma Dome and they sucked big time. Hopefully better now..LOL. Last concert I saw was Roger Waters the Wall. Saw them in Tacoma and it was so good, we attended the Portland show too. As a big Floyd fan, I fugure this was as close as I was going to get to seeing Pink Floyd together. The "Wall" was fantastic!!!

I was getting ready to buy Nine Inch Nails tickets for their Portland show. Their show in Holland in 99 is still my personal best concert I've been to. So I was all ready when the online presale opened up. Cheapest ticket was $70 (including the "service fee"), which I can afford, but don't want to pay. It's the ticket, getting there (not too bad for me), then I'll buy a few drinks at extortionist pricing and will not want to go without a cheap thin t-shirt that I pay $25 of maybe $30 for.

Cavemanjim, if you like good old southern rock I implore you to go on google video search or other and take a look/listen to 'Blackberry smoke' out of Atlanta. You will not be dissapointed, I promise. Man do they bring back the good old days! Hammond b3, 3 excellent guitars, a great bassist and vocals. Southern rock as it should be.
