Every now and then we have discussed books.

I just stumbled on this - in Oregon and Washington, if you have a library card, you can download Audio books and e-Books thru an app (Overdrive.com) Or, listen/read them on your computer.

Both states have networked their libraries together. So a title which may not be in your local branch, could be in another library across the state and give you access.

The Military libraries are also on the system.

I looked - no James Bond Audio books in Oregon :( Just Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang by Ian Fleming.

There are some Jack Reacher and Bob Lee Swagger.

No Easy Day, (similar account to the movie Zero Dark Thirty) at least in Oregon, is always available, meaning they have unlimited copies.

If you want those 50 Shades books, you need to spell out Fifty in the search.

In OR there is a second eBook service - 3M Cloud. ebook.3m.com

Remember:

Free is a very good price.

OK you pay for the library with your taxes, so consider it a pre-paid account.

The Fire supports the 3M app - 3M Cloud and the Overdrive app.

For other Kindles, follow the instructions on the library web site - you are not using an app on the device.
