Those camo patterns do look really nice. I haven't done any patterns like that (yet), but I've looked at quite A LOT to get ideas, and yours are very well done. Nice inspiration.
Some time ago I saw a video or an article (can't remember which) where a guy used fern leaves for a pattern. Looked pretty nice.
 
A gray stock will take black dye very well if you just want a black one.

Otherwise most any spray paint will adhere well to polymers once it's prepped for paint.
My EMOD stock is Forest Green and I just hosed it down with some Cummins Charcoal engine paint after a hot water and Simple Green wash.
It's held up well after a few years with the usual wear marks.
