The original 1 in 14 twist (present in all my .250 99's except this "revival" model) has presented no issues toward readily stabilizing 100gr bullets. Admittedly, I have not "pushed the envelope" by trying inordinately long 100gr bullets, such as the 100gr Ballistic Tip, or anything in the 120gr range.I believe the correct model is 99A. These are popular as shooters because they have 1 in 10 twist barrel that can reliably stabilize 100 grain bullets. You might want to list it on a forum with more Savage lovers in order to get your best price. PM me if you want specific suggestions
