Making the trek out to the shooting pits is proving too much of a hassle. Anyone know of ranges in King, Pierce, or surrounding counties that allow draw from holster? Either for members who have been vetted and proven their competency and safe handling, or otherwise? Alternatively, anyone know of ranges willing to rent out bays for training?

You've caught on to part of the problem with public ranges. Won't let you practice from the draw. Most around here also require 1 second between shots. Final problem of course is people at the range with no clue on how to be safe. If you can't practice real world type shooting scenarios or the way you would actually shoot what good is it? You can't practice the skills you actually need.

Go to steel challenges, IDPA or USPA competitions.

I wouldn't be a member at any range like that. Even the range I belonged to California let me work from a holster and fire as fast as I could pull the trigger.
