I'm at the point where my rangefinder finally quit and I'd like to replace my hunting binoculars. I figured I'd take a peek at the combination rangefinder binos out there.
I'm not a professional, so the high dollar Swarovski and Leica aren't a consideration. The next step down is where I'd like to be, probably that $1000-ish range. I'll spend more if they are exactly the right optics for me.
So, with that in mind, I see some from Leupold, Burris, Nikon, Sig Sauer and (gasp) Vortex. There's a Leica in the $1500 range that could be considered as well. Other suggestions are welcome.
Anyone have any experience with these? I'm not a glass snob by any means, but as I get older my vision isn't as good as it used to be. I don't care about weird effects at the edges or some of the nitpicky garbage optics snobs gripe about. Clear enough in the center to tell a squirrel from an elk, durability, ease of use and reliable electronics are what's important.
