Quail Hunting in Oregon?

Hey all -

My FIL is in town from Wyoming with his bird dog, and he's itching to do some quail hunting while he's here... anybody got any leads on a spot to do so in/around the Willamette Valley? Would gladly trade some meat/ammo/cash for access to a good area. Thanks in advance..!

I don't have any direct experience; but a few years ago I read that Summer Lake was good for quail.

Used to be all you had to do was ask permission and walk the fence rows for Quail and Pheasant. I guess I'm showing my age with that one.

I have seen more quail in the Tyee area this year than I have seen in many years. Areas off of Tyee access road.

I havent been there yet but I hear EE Wilson has good bird and Rabbit numbers.
