When I stopped in at the Everett store today, they had a modest supply of Large Pistol magnum and Large Rifle magnum primers on the shelf. CCI, WW and one lonely tray of RP. Reasonably priced under $30 a brick. Is this a glimmer of hope?

Was at the Wenatchee store yesterday, they had a few bricks of both small rifle and pistol, as well as large rifle, and some magnums as well mostly Federal. Could only buy one box though, so got a box of large rifle so I can start feeding my "new" 6.5 Creedmoor. Prices were good, about $25 for the box. Wish it wasn't a 90 mile drive, I'd go back daily or take some friends :). Later.

Is body else fed up with the Salem Sportsman's Warehouse? I can never get a straight answer
from them on ammo/powder shipments. I've given up asking the order takers at the gun counter.
The gals at the service desk have more info and are at least willing to answer questions about
shipments. Gun counter guys are just doing what everybody started doing when Covid hit, crap
service. I guess we all better get used to poor service.

At this point I think they're just under producing and stashing in warehouses someplace...

I doubt they are underproducing but I bet they are allocating for their own ammo first. Federal is now selling directly to consumers and I saw a video the other day indicating they have a huge backlog, so forget about finding Federal primers any time soon. I suspect the other primer makers find themselves in a similar position.

There was also a story I read about some AZ ammo manufacturer -- the one with $80M in backorders -- they had this deal going where people could buy primers online and have them shipped to their factory to load into ammo. Something like 500,000 rounds had been done that way. Can't find the link right now but the story in various forms has been cited several times on this site, some without that tidbit though.

Honestly, that pissed me off -- that's 5000 boxes that should have gone to people who have invested in equipment and more importantly, time, to build up a skill and the hoi polloi are elbowing their way into a space they don't belong.

I got
used to your
odd indentation so
I
guess anything is possible.

The last primers I bought were a case of Federal large pistol at Sportman's in Lewiston, ID a month ago.

Stopped at my LGS today to get some rifle powder and they were out of what I wanted. Had at least 3 of everything last week, before pay day. :(

I'll start feeling better when small primers are more common. Large rifle Magnum in particular doesn't seem popular. Found it scattered about

Doubtful. With only a few primer manufacturers in the country that supply all the ammo companies, reloaders, and the military they are are in high demand. From my understanding the primers are basically being shipped straight to the ammo companies for making factory ammo. Makes sense as a primer manufacturer as you would be send bulk orders of primers and likely saving a ton of money on packaging. I'm sure they don't send 10's of thousands of primers individually boxed to the ammo companies.

Picked up a brick of 7 1/2 Remington SRBR at the Hillsboro store Tuesday. Only one they had left next to a fair amount of magnum rifle stuff.

No, I'm pretty sure ammo companies hate us...
