Last pic shows a repaired corner on the stock… if you need a specific pic lmk, I figured this would be the gist of what most would want to know. The butt stock has a darker finish then the forearm piece.. it's never bothered me, just adds more character!😎 Here's your chance at a piece of history!

Hello. I can't tell from the pics on my phone , is the finish paint? It doesn't look like even a re-blue. Could just be my crappy phone. Thanks

Hi..I retook some pics to show the loading gate edge area and the barrel under different lighting… I couldn't tell ya if it's some type of paint for sure, I'm no expert. I think my earlier pics sucked because of the bad lighting. I haven't scene another pre64 in person so I don't have a reference of what it " should " look like. It definitely doesn't have a "worn steel" look to it, it's consistently the same color throughout the finish and has a powder finish to me more then a smooth steel…. Again, I'm no gun expert, just using my layman terms to describe what I'm seeing best. Hope it, and the pics help. If you determine something other then what I think I have I'd appreciate the info. Take care and thanks for looking!
