Depends on what you want in an AK...as is, it would be a great shooter, and with the railed fore-end, leaves you with "modern" options as to kit. If you are after a "traditional" AK, it would require a few more parts along with gunsmith work. As it sits, would be a great rifle to run a carbine class with.
