Another interesting twist to this.

The main powder Mfg. in the US is St. Marks Powder - and is a subsidiary of General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems manufacturing ball propellant in Crawfordville, Florida.

From their website:
Over 95% of all U.S. military small arms ammunition are loaded with our propellants. In addition, General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems' propellants are qualified for use on all current U.S. military medium caliber rounds.

Another site reported the remaining 5% is sold to the distributors of some of the powder names we are familiar with.

It's possible the 5% might be drying up as well.

What are you really saying there guy… Are you saying that just because I have 10ish pounds of TiteGroup that I'm a hoarder??? :s0012::s0012::s0012:
10lbs of titegroup sounds like a good appetizer.

I was referring to myself as the "dope" in that post. I got a little carried away buying powder over the last few years. Last batch I bought was a lb of W231 and two lbs of WSF for $30 total. It's hard to say no to powder at $10 a pound.
