It is similar to M1905 but no Springfield engraving, and the scabbard is really unusual. To me, it seems to predate the M1905 and does look like one though shorter, but not one of the cut off trimmed ones from WWII.

Model 1892 Krag-Jorgensen bayonet? It looks like there is a date, 1897, on the blade near the crosspiece.

We used them in the Spanish American War and Philippine Insurrection as well as the Boxer Rebellion.
They are a Norwegian design....

I just broke out the magnifying glass, the number is either 1897 or 1397. I don't want to mess with it to clean it, so I'll pass on the information.
