I sent a message off to stealth arms but am impatient and thought I'd ask here.
I have a stealth arms platypus (1911/2011 whatever ya wanna call it)
Anyone here ever upgrade a safety to ambi from single side on one of these ? Is it plug and play or needs fitting like most 1911 stuff ?
I have staccatos but thought I'd try one of these.
This orange one is going to be gettin some work done in the next few months it should look like the green one when I'm done.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!!

- I'll update when I hear from SA if anyone has the same question.
They are pretty good bout getting back to ya.
I found out mine is a 2023 and I can't convert to a bull barrel, so it looks like a tooless guide rod is the extent of that mod.

My brief foray into their parts suggests the safety is platypus specific and needs to be fit. I ordered mine with the ambi pre installed by them so no idea about converting.

Edit: seems I was partially mistaken. The safety is the same safety a 1911 would use, not necessarily proprietary. I'd imagine it still needs to be fit all the same.

I was planning on using stealth's ambi safety. Everything I read said they were fairly proprietary due to the fact they are based around the geometry of using Glock mags.

I have the ambi on mine and i do believe it is proprietary due to the Glock mags possibly. They do have a great recourse on their website of parts that are commonly shared with 2011/ 1911's and the safety is not listed.

You can order their ambi safety on their website I believe.
