I have (had) both. Gave the cpx2 to my mother, it's easier to operate the slide and easier to shoot for an old grandma. The trigger is extremely mushy, but she likes it. Has never failed.

I carry the pf9 every day in pocket. Comfortable to carry, so I never leave it home or in the car. Has never failed.

I don't know if I would call them *good* guns, but they are reliable. Neither gun shoots as well as a larger, heavier piece.

The pf9 is pretty snappy. I would not recommend it for someone with wimpy hands. It has a long, strong trigger pull, similar to a da revolver. On the +side, it fits in my front pocket with a pocket holster without printing, even in shorts. Light weight enough that my pants don't sag (must have good belt). Hard enough trigger pull that I'm not afraid to actually draw from my pocket (much practice required).

    edit

I think I like the Ruger lc9 a little better.

yes. true...do you think the pf9 is a lot more "snappy" then my other gun. 40sw sigma?
I think I might get a pf9 this weekend if in can find one.

    I've never fired a .40. I could only guess.

Some people don't like pf9's. Used ones are not too hard to find.

Only experience is handling both at a gun show and the Sccy is significantly thicker in width and would not fit in pocket for carry like the pf9 would.

I would agree with keystir. cpx2 is not a bad pistol, but not a good pocket pistol.

Width is only .12" and the pf9 has issues tell it's broken in at 250 rounds and after that still have some issues every review so far on sccy has been good reviews
