I'm so buying my dad one of these. He has two of the originals, about the only handgun he can operate due to age/arthritis at this point. Gotta get him a bling bling gun while he can still appreciate it!

I've been thinking about one of the less flashy models. Just not one with a grip safety.
I would consider trying a Springfield XD model pistol with one though, myself.

My recent experience with S&W's Performance Center has been less than impressive. Only pistol I've had to send back to have repaired, and they didn't repair it properly the first time.

Performance Center used to mean something. Now they simply throw parts on guns.

Too much bling for me, but overall, a very nice gun. I still don't like the hokey S&W oversized safety, but those can be removed, and S&W will send a plug for the hole, for free, for those that don't want the safety installed.

i was thinking about getting PC 45 shield, hmmm might just get regular model.

so they replaced barrel or they claim it's "normal" manufacturing marks.
