Misleading. While I don't agree with that bill, it states a semi automatic handgun capable of accepting a detachable magazine with one or more specific features, none of which that 1911 has. It also states carrying a gun in certain places in public with a magazine with a fixed capacity greater than 10 rounds is a crime. 1911s of a single stack variety in any cartridge rarely use magazines of greater than 10 rounds. I don't see how this bill would affect that 1911 at all, unless I missed something?

Rarely but not uncommon. There's also the drum magazines.

Threaded barrel. That 1911 has a threaded barrel end.

So don't carry a foot long magazine in public :s0140:

You're right, I didn't catch that threaded barrel, a lot of it is cut off in the picture I was seeing.

But that 1911 is "capable of accepting a detachable magazine and has a threaded barrel", ergo it is an "assault weapon" yeah it wasn't clear in the X post that it had a threaded barrel

Well you don't want to be hyperbolic.

But you don't want to understate the issue.

Who am I kidding. We gave up being intellectually honest years ago.

Any firearm can make its way into someone's You Can't Own This List.

Of course some firearms are more easily targeted , pun intended , for the list of things you cannot own.

Not that I agree with any such lists.

My thoughts on firearm ownership / the 2nd Amendment are simple :
Own whatever firearms you wish....or don't own any.
Just don't make that choice for others.

Me.... 2A says in my opinion.... That citizens have the inherent Right, and a duty to be as well armed as any military in the world, and a duty to be as well disciplined, equipped, and educated as the best of the military.

As for Nuclear, Biologic and Chemical weapons?

Well besides nuclear.... We have biological weapons inherent with our children, particularly when they're sick :s0140:

And chemical? We kill insects by the millions with chemicals. We kill plants by the acre with chemicals. The UN even classified pepper and tear gas as chemical weapons

I do think people should be allowed to own explosives and nuclear reactors, particularly thorium salts reactors for home/compound/village power generation.

Punish the abuse of items, not the items.

You're not supposed to read it! Just run around with your arms in the screaming. Cause the world is ending.
