My 1905 Ross (.303) is missing the screw that secures the front band to the barrel. I've checked Apex, Numrich, Marstar, etc. but have come up empty.....any suggestions?

Do any other screws on the rifle have the same thread pitch? If so, take it out and go to the hardware store and match it up. PAX

It may not be correct, but often a metric or inch machine screw will work for 3-4 turns before binding. Good for light duty.

As an update, a friend of mine on the east coast came to my rescue. He has the same model Ross & copied the screw from his & mailed it me, & it fits perfectly. Now to get out to the range on Tuesday & see if this corrects the recent erratic accuracy.

If you have an Ace Hardware nearby they have an excellent selection of screws including gun screws.
