So I just picked up a Remington 700 ADL. I'm thinking about possible camo options but have no idea how these "camo wraps" compare to an actual paint job.
Kind of depends on the rifle. If its new a wrap is best if your unsure it's what you want it to look like long term. If it's old and kinda ratty paint it and tell people you just hate rifles that look too new.
An alternative to straight paint and pattern is a water transfer. It still starts out with a painted stock but then gets dipped in what is essentially a liquid decal floating on a water bath.
I'm in the process of doing it on my Mini and recording it as I go to post up here. But unfortunately I'm also in the middle of a major remodel so it will likely be next week before I post up the thread. (So far, so good. ...mostly. )
