Always wondered if some one would do this. In the movie Old School, Will Farrel gets shot by a "tranc. gun" which just so happens to be a Crosman 2240. That long barrel would help the CO2 build up pressure and therefore have pretty good speed. Just looking at that gun I suspect it would be a hard hitter for within 30 yards.
