I have used Capitol Armory for the past 10 years. I use a trust for mine. I sent them 2 pictures, 2 f-print cards and a copy of my trust. (BTW, I am much younger looking in my pics!) You purchase the can and they will fill out all the paperwork for you, and then send it by email for you to Docu-sign it. A couple of days later they will call you and thru your computer and by phone (same time) will certify it and send it off to the ATF.

I would say that you DO need a computer. You must have an E-FORM (ATF) account in order to certify it. I have used Silencer Shop but much prefer the service at Capitol Armory ( www.capitolarmory.com )

I forgot about the AFT site, it is easier to use with a computer. Even if you select the use desktop version, a computer makes it easier for sure.

Im pretty sure that you cannot do certification over the phone alone, because there is an ATF form (boxes) that must be checked and Docu-Signed . Could be wrong but CA's customer service is very very helpful. GL

Thanks, I used Silencershop the last time and didn't need a computer but just wondered how difficult the whole process was without a computer.....

SS does have their kiosks so I would guess that would suffice

If you buy from a retail spot they will often include the transfer fee in the deal, or at a low fee. But ALWAYS ask first

Capital has great prices too....I think I may wait until they're open tomorrow and give them a call to get the ball rolling!!

Always check the SPECIALS in the drop down first. Sometimes one might be $3-400 off . Just like most of us can't pass a pawn shop without stopping in, just because.....!

I lived in Beaverton for 40 years, and recently moved down to deep central Texas and am now only 45 minute drive to the CA home office. In fact am driving up there tomorrow to outfit a can to fit my new LWRC SMG 45.

Its less expensive to have a high maintenance girlfriend than it it to build gun sand buy cans for them! Sigh! (Hugging a gun is just not the same)

I know you buckeyes aren't the smartest, so here you go. Straight from the ORW website.

I'm just lashing out because the Ducks are getting obliterated right now.
I think their bus is just late in arriving. But then again, they are on national TV. And that is a jinx for them.

OSU got humiliated the end of their season, so they really want this (more)

if you're looking for a Polonium, check to see if J&B, ORW or AFS has one in stock in store- if they have, I believe you can use the SS kiosk to do the purchase.

NFA transfers run around $100 if the can was purchased 3rd party and then form 3"d" to the LGS.

Just went through this with my polo k. (purchased from RedTeam Armory when they had a deal on it) Even if you buy your tax stamp through SS and do everything through them, there is an NFA transfer fee. Only way to avoid is bought directly from LGS or SS.

I did mine at J&B easy peasy. They were more helpful than SS by far explaining process. Only reason I didn't buy direct from SS was 1 out of stock and 2 I got a good deal so even with the $100 fee it was less than SS msrp. As previous comments have mentioned, ask J&B if they can order it in to avoid the transfer fee :)

Looking at the Polonium and the Turbo T3...
Those are the 2 I've been considering as well. Though specifically the Turbo T3 RB. Would really like to get a sense of which limits back pressure the best. Also looking at putting an adjustable gas block on my rig, as well. What muzzle device are you running (or planning to run)?

So I ended up going with Capital armory and it was super easy and they even gave me a coupon for an extra 5% off on my can. The process was easy and after a phone call and an appt to get fingerprinted things are already in motion....Thanks a ton @Lazyfaire!!! You got me to take the plunge and I am at this point pleased as heck!!
