Curious if anybody has any insight into what'll happen in my scenario.

I ordered a Beretta 92XI SAO Tactical about 10 days ago. It comes with two 18 round mags. Unfortunately, it took the vendor a long time to actually ship it, so I'm not expecting it to hit the gun shop until 4/14. Factor in a few days for the background check and I could very well not take it home until after 4/16.

Assuming the gun comes in before the mag ban, can I just take the magazines home or do they have to stay with the gun during the background check? Logic tells me the check is only for the gun and not the accessories, but I'm not sure how the shop will handle it.

I've already secured a bunch of 92 mags just in case, but it would suck to have to have the store confiscate them. That's about $50 in mags down the drain.
If it were me I would go on what Tony the attorney said about dates. The 16th is the deadline for them to appeal. Not necessarily a deadline or start date of anything else.

Looking to get a pair of Bersa ThunderPlus .380 magazines pinned to the 10 rnd limit.
Anyone know of a smith who'd do that?
No ThunderPlus .380 10 rnd mags found for sale using multiple search engines.

Yeah good point. The shop I do transfers as made me sign some agreement regarding M114 and HB3075 last week when I did another transfer. It had April 16th on it, so it made me nervous. Even if that is the case, I don't see why I can't take the mags.

Thinking in my on post, I might buy some .40 cal Glock magazines for us.

Even though we don't own any .40 cal Glocks. We might in the future. Have some 10mm Glocks which .40 could run supposedly allrite in 10mm barrels with the 10mm mags. Reliably? Dunno…

(Obviously: for legal purposes, any standard capacity magazines purchased after whatever made up date in 2022 will be destroyed next Tuesday or Wednesday. Whichever made up date the reduced capacity magazine infringement takes place…)
I heard that Glock is discontinuing the 40 S&W and .357 Sig models.

Honestly, if you are seriously set on abiding by the 10-round limit (presumably for concealed carry) you might as well just get one of the normal Bersa Thunders and some 8-round magazines from Mec-Gar.

Buy the guns you want and magazines. Permits and dumb hurdles to jump on the dumpy measure 114 soon. Once the clock hits the day an hour that's it! They'll try to push other laws to invoke our rights soon. Un-American and treasonous crimes if you ask me. Our fallen forefathers who bled to keep our rights are ashamed and would spit in the faces of these politicians.

If measure 114 takes effect then the magazine ban is effective when the law was passed. Buying them now is till out of compliance FYI

"Private owners would have to prove they possessed the large-capacity magazines or acquired them through an inheritance prior to the original Dec. 8, 2022, date that Measure 114 was intended to take effect."

They have wording on the new bill that it's ok to buy when injunction is in place.

JGsales has G22 police trade ins for $10 right now...

Out of stock...

Sportsman's Guide has them in stock.

$14. $12.60 for members, then 15% off orders of $150 with code SG4882 = $10.71. "Free" standard shipping on $99+ orders.

Bumping up to expedited shipping (2/3 day) @ Sportsmans Guide was priced reasonably in the past.

FYI for all, is all...

Edit, adding: also KCI Glock 17, 17 round mags @ $14. $13.50 for members, then 15% off code ~ $11.50. Not bad in today's economy. Not $8 tho...

KCI Glock 19, 15 round mags a bit more...

Well, I placed my last order this morning. Just a few items. I now have everything I will possibly need. Now all I have to do is sit back and see how all of this unfolds over the next week.

I think that any challenge to 114 won't matter as HB3075 is highly likely to sail through.

According to this, it got voted on to move out of committee, but according to the Oregon Legislature websites,.it's still in committee, and had work session held two days ago
