Any recommended local Coating Services you might recommend after your service on the Optic Cut?

I have not personally used anyone in the area at this time so I would hesitate to make any recommendations right now.

Really fun project and the fit and finish came out great.

Holosun 407C on a Glock 19X

An important note regarding optic footprints: I had this 407C, another customer's Holosun 508T, and my personal Trijicon RMR on hand at the same time. While all of these optics are the "RMR pattern" footprint, there is enough dimensional variation between even the same optic model by the same manufacturer to make a difference.

This slide was cut specifically for the 407C and passes the "shake test" (placing the optic on the slide without screws and shaking the slide—if the optic remains seated, the cut is truly a custom optic cut). The 508T was loose in the cut and failed the shake test, while the Trijicon RMR was slightly oversized and would not fit into the cut at all.

This demonstrates why, to ensure the best possible final product, I need the exact optic that will be used for the build.
