I think the source is that the video guys found a way to tweek the stream to match the beat - and they put out a few to demonstrate their prowess.

Fun stuff.

The Goonies is featured in this one:

There was a B movie in the 80s that had some simply awesome dancing in it. I cannot remember the name of the movie, but one scean has this guy dansing solo with a broom as his partner, pretty cool. As i understand it, it is/was a pretty popular type of dancing!

penicillin cured everything back then

I'd be SOL - I'm allergic to PCN  had to be discerning with bumpin partners instead of hittin everything like a toddler swinging a hammer.

I don't/can't dance. Or rather I dance like a white Steve Urkel. Its not pretty. Slow dancing is even typically a no go. Got like 5 mins of instruction in 7th grade. Never attended school dances. I crush toes of dance partners. Guess I am glad to be the tail end of gen X and grew up with computers and the internet. Can't imagine having to socialize with ladies in a bar or club to get a date! :D

In the '70s they made a movie about all the great dancers and music from the '30s-40s and 50s. The name of it was That's Entertainment.
It had all the great scenes with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Gene Kelly, Rita Hayworth, Donald O'Connor, Cyd Charrise and all the rest from the movies of that/those era(s).
Those people were phenomenal talents, most of whom did a lot of their own stunt work (Gene Kelly especially), and at least on screen, they all epitomized the class, grace and elegance America aspired to at the time.

Classy threads, classy music and classy moves.

Oh, and those guys were pretty athletic too.
Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire:

Fred Astaire's long time dancing partner Ginger Rodgers was also great and she did a lot of the routines dancing backwards, wearing a dress and with high heels.
