I've recently taken up reloading .32 ACP since I've added a Zastava M70 to my collection with my Grandfather's Hammerless Colt 1903. Now I already know general reloading crowd is 50/50 split on reloading 32 acp, but with the current cost of that cartridge, I thought I'd give it a go. And it's been pretty fun. And at 2 grains of Titegroup/Load, powder goes quite a ways. The Berrys 71Gr plated bullet is the most available and least expensive if shopped for patiently

I received a partial box of some very old Remington UMC 32ACP which I shot up and subsequently tossed the brass in to the tumbler with the others. While I did notice the Case Cannelure in these specific cases, I didn't anticipate the resulting problem. The cannelure creates a natural weak point when seating the bullet. The seating stage compressed the case vertically and created a slight wrinkle/rib around the case that interfered with subsequent chambering. I had ended up loading about 5-6 of these before I caught it. 2 of them had not compressed and I fired them with no issues. The others I just pulled the bullets and reloaded. I've included a pic for reference.

anneal those cases and the cannelure should iron right out. if they don't then I would run a 32 cal expander ball threw them and then process them as normal. if its only a few cases it may not be worth it. in that case set them aside till you have enough to make it worth the trouble. DR

It's fewer than 35 cases. I've gone thru and screened them out and chucked them. I have more than plenty of good stuff to fill w/o wasting thought, effort, or time on them.

But great suggestions
