Today, I pried another old resident out of my gun safe for a trip to the range. I'm trying to zero sights and scopes on everything I've got this year. This oldie that went along with a couple of other guns to the range hasn't been out in a while. It's a Remington Model 341-P, made in 1936. The 341-P was kind of a poor man's target rifle. It has a cheapie Remington peep sight on it, and a Globe-style front sight. Both of which combined make for a nice sight picture. I dinked around with it and got it printing right in the bull's eye.

My records are vague on this one. They say "circa 2005" as to when I bought it. The Kenmore Gun Ranges was having a members swap meet. One of my former co-workers was a member and told me about the event. I went over and found this rifle sitting on a card table. A elderly man was selling it. I think I gave him $75 for it. It's perfectly functional and fun to shoot.

Next to muzzle loaders...old .22 rifles are my favorite.
Used to buy sell and trade for them quite often , back before the dumb azz BGC for private sales made it too damn expensive to do so.
Still have a few however...and love 'em.

I have my grand father's it will shoot the size of a dime love the 22

I have a " gill gun " with almost no finish left on the metal. That thing is dead on with the irons. My personal favorite is single shot repeater mode , using .22short and locking the bolt for each round.

Single shot repeater sounds like an oxymoron
