I'm definitely not new to the site and for some reason my initial introduction isn't showing up....so here it is. I moved from Oregon to Idaho last year, and though I miss many aspects of Oregon, I'm really happy to be in Idaho. More sun, less rain, less crappy politics and MUCH less homeless! I've been shooting since I was a youngin.....Dad had us all out going for sagehen, deer and elk. Now I'm passing it along to my kids. 2 of the 3 love shooting rifles, the other loves shooting bow. I have an unhealthy addiction with putting together ARs.....if I see a deal, I have not the will power to resist.

Met many of you through deals and have yet to meet a bad apple. Glad I joined this forum when I did, a lot of knowledge and experience that I've learned a lot from!

I know that you're not in the Oregon/ Washington area but we've found the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly is through grass roots involvement.

If there isn't a local group that advocates for responsible stewardship of public lands, check out Trash No Land.
