I have a Nazi Naval officer's dagger. Uncle Ed was over there and brought it home for Dad.
My sisters want nothing to do with it. It resides safely with me.

Not like it's a Morgal blade (nerd flex) or anything. Hang onto that and pass it down as a family heirloom. That's a unique piece of history that'll eventually be worth a sizable sum of money.

I've had A few bring back items... But my all-time favorite was a 16 ftx12 ft km flag... Like the ones you sometimes see across the for-deck of a ship... It was signed by 20+ US soldiers, most of which were from New York strangely enough... Too big to display, Took six people to pull out and keep off the ground.. but boy, what a nice trophy... Don't think I could put it up here without insulting. At least one person.. All I have left is my factory 26 SKS with all three bring back papers...

Have read that the AR used was a Bushmaster Dissipator with a Beta C mag.

Edit. I can't remember if the original one literally used, had an A1, C7 or the A2 upper shown in first picture..... Though that's a heck of a mashup...CAR style stock, A2 upper, Lonestar grip, A1 handguards, A2 flash hider.,..
I remember one of the documentaries on this from years ago mentioning that they got most of their stuff out of shotgun news, some of which were parts or the information on how to make the guns full auto... It just reminded me of the old DOS add in a small column on the back pages and I always wondered if people even attempted to order one..lol

From a 2005 Bushmaster Firearms Inc catalog, it looks like the Dissipator upper was introduced in 1994, and was always on an A2 or flat top "A3" upper.

Edit. Interesting catalog prices from 20 years ago on some things (upper parts, trigger parts, barreled assemblies)

Compared to Windham Weaponry webstore listing for the A4 flat top version
.https://shop.windhamweaponry.com/product/ur16da4b/

20 years, $45-50ish difference

Clearly, the guy have not done much research into the original Bushmaster Dissipator. Like I've posted a screenshot and a .PDF file from 2005, Bushmaster introduced their Dissipator in 1994, and gave the official reasoning in their ad copy, to "dissipate the heat " from a carbine gas system with a rifle length heat shield and longer handguards  it's not a "theory" or "speculation", it's literally why the model was called a Dissipator :s0140:
