NIB Savage A17 17 HMR

I bought two of these a couple of years ago hoping my boy would want to slay rats with me. Alas, such is not to be. I'm keeping mine and selling the other. Still in the box, 1 magazine. How about $375.

I'm all over the state so odds are good that I can meet up. Not interested in shipping.

I have a Tikka T1x in 17 HMR also. When the rats are really out nothing beats the A17. For more spotty shooting I use the Tikka.

Sometimes when it's hot and heavy you'll see a rat dragging his dead buddy off to his burrow, to serve as a late night snack. You cap him, and wait for another cannibal to show up. My PB is five. The semi-auto comes in handy.

It might be. Everything on GB is insanely high right now but when these can be found in local big box stores, it's typical to find them under $400 in my experience. I bought mine probably five years ago but it was on sale at Cabelas for right at or just under $300.

If you're not in a hurry, keep your price where it's at. Varmint season is coming and you're well under current GB prices.

Sportsmans is priced at $420, Cabelas at $430. Let me look, I think I have a set of Talley scope mounts to sweeten the pot.

What is your experience with ammo @pharmseller ? Will they eat other ammo besides the A17 branded stuff?

Mine shoots anything I feed it. It is more reliable with the A17 CCI ammo, but anything will work.
I start to have feed issues after roughly 1000 rounds but you can clean it easily on a tailgate in five minutes and be back to shooting.

'This is my experience as well. The A17 ammo was faster but the standard stuff cycled fine and was more accurate.

'I shoot the 17 grain Hornady V-Max.
