Okay, you convinced me. I am going to give up my search for a nasty Colt Python and instead focus my efforts on locating a Ruger Security Six.
I've passed up on Security Six's a time or two, but that has been a while. It's not a common gun to find for sale.
I'd kinda like a second run at the Trooper III I used to have. I thought I would know if it came up for sale, but when I asked the guy I sold it to a couple of years after the fact, he told me his wife made him get rid of it. I don't know which one of us I felt more sorry for.

Wife made him get rid of a gun....HA! She'd be out on her ars
 
Security six's were cheap 25 years ago when police departments were trading them in for Glocks. I guess they may have become a collectors item now days.
I have a couple GP 100's so I really have no need of another Ruger 357 but it would be fun to build a Cougar.
