Henry Tomes & Co rifle.
Circa 1847.
Barrel marked Henry Tomes & Co New York City on the upper barrel flat...
Marked on the underside of the barrel...DB & Seigfried Co.

Lots of rifles made back east ...were made for the western fur trade / western hunting market.

.56 caliber, percussion rifle with a full stock of walnut and checkering at the wrist.
30 inch barrel with a dark but decent bore.
Double set triggers..missing the set screw.
Nickel silver furniture as well as being engraved.
Gold bands at the breech.
It is the full stocked rifle pictured.
The half stocked rifle is my St. Louis Plains rifle of the same time period (roughly) for comparison.
