For indoor, I like the Clackamas County Public Safety Training Center.

This is the best place to hang out on the internet.

Check out the organized clean ups. It's the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly.

We are doing non ODF supported cleanups at public forests - check the North Fork Wolf Creek Road thread in resources.

If you really want to get involved in community action check out Trash No Land.

Indoor - the nicest and pretty affordable is SafeFire over the River in Camas, WA. A Short drive and highly recommended.

West side and south of PDX for indoor only is pretty much only Threat Dynamics near Sherwood but they are expensive. Tri County in Tigard and Douglas Ridge over in Boring (Estacada) are great rifle and pistol clubs, and somewhat inexpensive.

There are a few other options around PDX but they have some restrictions…hope that helps

It may help folks help you if you note which general area of PDX you currently live. As some suggestions may prove better than others. Also, what type of shooting you enjoy, and may be interested in doing in the future.

I believe some indoor clubs do not allow holster draw or motion, which hopefully you would take into account. As a prohibition on such would severely limit your skills growth.

Consider regular clubs, as others suggest, depending upon where you live & their current member wait listing & such.

I'll throw out Douglas Ridge (if you all are S/SE PDX), even though we've never been. Seems highly rated, plus has regularly scheduled distance (should you ever get an interest).
