So I'm looking at picking up a new Savage/Stevens 301 single shot in 20g.
I've had a Mossberg 500 in 20, and a 930 in 12, and a Stoeger Condor O/U in 20, and I'm interested because I
want a good cheap single to do some casual shooting and maybe hunt upland birds.

I like that it's basically a clone of the NEF/H&R singles, but it's got synthetic stock,
screw in choke, and from the sounds of it, it's got a shell ejector.

Anyone have any experience with one to share?
Unfortunately it seems NEF/H&R is no longer in business making theirs.

I'll follow up with a review of the Stevens 301 in a few weeks.

Alright, so here it is.
Turns out it's quite nice.
The lock up is tight, the fore end detaches with a button so no undoing a screw with a tool, for take down
The choke is a screw in choke, so that's a bargain for these types
I will be taking it to shoot soon. Stay tuned.
