Welcome, what city are you staying near or within?

Portland area. Any reason why people in outside of the city react as if I moved to slums? I'm decently well traveled and Portland is by far a gem compared to other places I've been.

Edit 2: Also, I just stopped by Oregon Rifleworks and y'all are spoiled. It's so relieving knowing I don't have to order everything when your LGS has a bunch of quality stuff in stock.

You'd understand if you'd been here for 30-40 years.

Still, Welcome! Having another freedom minded 2nd Amendment supporter here is a GOOD thing! It's a good group of people here.

You talkin' to ME? I moved to "Portland" June 7th 1983. I came from Midvale Utah. A smallish semi-rural community in the Salt Lake Valley, 12 miles South of SLC. It was a great place for a kid to grow up.
