New Member in Portland

I just joined up, and this is my first post. I live in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood of Southeast Portland. I've had guns since I was a teenager, starting with a 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser and a .44 Colt revolver.
I've been mostly about rifles all along, but lately I've been getting into Bullseye (Precision Pistol). I've tried a lot of different guns, but in the end discovered that I'm pretty much a wood and steel kind of guy at heart: 1911s and M1a mostly. I still have and use polymer framed pistols, though. This seems like a good, lively, group and I look forward to taking part.
