I also do chest carry, but not with a 10mm. To make a long story short, I was convinced by someone in the solid ammunition business to go to a .45 ( which I had 2 of). The bottom line at a series of 5 second timed draw and fire, I could place more rounds accurately with the .45. He then convinced me that the .45 in the correct ammunition had more than adequate penetration. I am not saying that the 10mm is not a great caliber, but for me I feel more comfortable with my .45. Also the two 10mm that I owned had match barrels and were not designed for the more powerful solid core ammo.
