I like the idea. With the left coast as it is, I wouldn't chance buying a gun that might never be allowed to leave the house as designed.
 
A non-double strike carry rimfire would be a hard pass.. to be honest, a DA revolver would be the way to go if one wanted to go that route.
 
Seems to me that low recoil calibers like 22 magnum and 5.7x28 would be a good fit for subcompact or micro pistols, but all I see are either these full size handguns or those teeny tiny revolvers.
 
Ballistics aside, I dig it. More rimfire options the better.

I do wonder if S&W is just taking old Keltec designs and refining them at this point in their companies history.
 
I thought pretty much this was a kel tec killer.
The pmr 30 came out in 2011.
The Grendel p30 was from the early 90's

So what's old is new again.
Definitely better looking and likely better made than the Keltec.
 
This guy and a mag full of those Federal Punch rounds would be a nice low recoil, high capacity, and light weight defense option.
