When I lived in Bend, I was doing home inspections on contract with Amerispec. One of the houses I inspected was a vintage Craftsman style home just around the first bend of the road in the park. Fabulous place if you like old homes, but I imagine the price was comparable to some of the 5000sqft wonders with granite countertops, huge kitchens, and travertine floors. The wife and I used to love going to the builders open house thing they have every year, uh, the competition IIRC. Some pretty amazing places trying to outdo each other.

BTW, they ever get rid of the goose crap all over the sidewalk at Drake Park??

Good luck finding anything adjacent to Drake Park for under $1M today. Goose crap and all...
