Says starts at like $70,000+ not sure if it includes the whole Tahoe to begin with  but I like this styling actually. I wonder if they'd be willing to spray one in NATO 3 color Woodland and put CUCV style fittings to it.. :p on a more serious note though, that blue/silver looks great, and the styling looks like a perfect blend of Tahoe modern and K5 original... much better than what the new Bronco is trying for... my opinion.

I'd rather spend the money to find one out-of-sorts and restore it. That looks like someone took an interesting idea and gave it a Mickey Rourke face-lift.

The Bronco Sport (IMO) is absolute garbage, although I keep hearing at my friend's dealership they can't keep them in stock and people are trading in their Subarus for them. I'll definitely give the full size a look because 46K isn't horrible for a decently appointed one - but I want to see how they hold up after being on the roads for a year or so.

Well looking at the 1970 K5 Blazers, the K5 Tahoe is actually pretty spot on except for the windshield and roofline. Its more like someone shortened a 1970 Suburban 4 door in the cargo area and grafted a Tahoe roof/A pillar assembly to it.

Based on the broken promises and delays by Ford, you are probably more likely to get one of these custom retro Tahoes before a new Bronco.

looks like 1977

and that is a good thing.. i miss the 70's
More like a 69-70.
For 71-72 Chevy went w a one-piece grill and then, later (1974 or 75) they body style changed and they squared-off the fender openings.
Yep... I'm a dork.

This "new K5" looks pretty cool and at +/- $70G isn't too far off brand new prices on a Raptor or Ram Rebel. I remember a similar outfit that was "converting" new Corvette convertibles to resemble a '62 only much swoopier... cool, but mostly an expensive bit of cosmetic jewelry.

The same thing happened with PT Cruisers when they were first introduced. There were freaking WAITING LISTS. All of that faldaral for a milk-truck bodied Neon with 100k mile life span.

Disclaimer; "100k mile life span" is a generalization. I'm sure there are stories of these hearty little econo-poopsters exceeding 100,000 miles but l don't care.

IMO, this K5Tahoe looks far better than the SSR, HHR, PT Cruiser, Prowler, Bronco... and I know I'll catch flack for this, but better than the current crop of Challengers and Camaros.

I spent much of my youth looking at stuff like the "dechrome" fads, the pastel/pearl fads, the shaven fad, and the chop& raked windshields of the Street/Custom Rod era... and I'll admit, I did like the idea of those 1990s Thunderbirds with the 1949-1951 Ford shoebox front and rears.. when executed nicely, the combo of modern roof and retro front/rear/sides looks interesting. When badly executed, they look like crap.. (those luxury kit cars  )

Kinda Kool!
I thought the Jeep Wagoneer retro concept was gonna come out, but it got shelved during the Stelantis merger, so............
I'm just gonna keep going on our 1950 Jeepster project, that's really where it's at for "Retro" cool! It's already got the 4X4 conversion and the Jeep/AMC 401 in it!
