looking at getting one of the 2. first off, yes I shoulda gotten one during rebate time but couldn't swindle it out of the wife then. The classic swat is 0.8lbs heavier, not much but its all on the front end. I might be slightly worried of the shorter gas piston they use on the pistols and patrols. Anyone have decent exposure to the pistol system and if they would recommend that or just get the longer setup? The patrol does feel very nicely balanced though. I guess if I was the type that wanted steadfast reliability I should get the longer one. But then again I daily drive my Merkur and not my Toyota so maybe I'm just backwards?

Patrol Swat feels lighter, easier to swing and costs a tad less.

If you make it down to the WAC show in Puyallup, I just received one that you can handle to check for yourself.

I personally own and shoot the SBR and have had ZERO problems. The Patrol is essentially the SBR/Pistol Length Piston, but with the legal barrel length. When I decide to sell my SBR someday, I'll replace it with a Patrol to keep the same feel.

JC- Yeah they feel great, held one down at The Marksman. Whats your price on the patrols? do you have a slightly different "show special price" for the ones you take to the show or how much are they regularly? marksman has best price ive seen in person so far at $1659. I could order it but I dont like paying than waiting. Cant make the show this month but I could in April
