Need barrel replacement for Marlin 1936

I have a Marlin model 1936, 30-30 lever rifle that my father bought when he was young.

A few years ago, my dad let my sister's stupid boyfriend use the rifle for hunting. He wrecked his ATV while hunting and used the gun to pry a bent part on the four-wheeler. The idiot actually bent the barrel on the 30-30 and didn't tell us about it. I discovered the bent barrel when cleaning the gun.

I'm really wanting to get this rifle repaired and am in need of advice or recommended gunsmiths that would replace the barrel for me.

Any info would be very appreciated.

If the bend is slight enough that you didn't discover it until cleaning,
there is a good chance that it can be straightened.

Send the gun back to Marlin. There is no way any gunsmith can/will rebarrel a Marlin cheaper than the factory. I think my last one was under 100 shipped. John

I have heard other loaned gun horror stories but that tops them all, so far.
