Muzzle loader scope on rifle

I picked up a real nice 358 Norma. I was not happy with the eye relief of the scope that came with rifle. I was thinking a muzzle loader scope would provide more eye relief. Can you put a muzzleloading scope on a rifle? Are there any considerations other than parallax distance?
