I want to buy a modernized 9mm mp5 or clone to use for a project. As in one with an optic rail and a fore-end rail. maybe a brace, maybe one to SBR. Maybe a PTR, zenith, or HK if the deal is right.

I may consider a B&T, mpx, banshee or other similar 9mm subgun depending on what it is, but prefer a nicer mp5 clone.

Yes, I could just have a new one shipped in, but i'd rather find a used one local.

I believe you're mistaken.

FFL manufacturers CAN bring assault weapons into the state:
1: for the purpose of military/leo sales, which would include samples for law letter.
2: for the purpose of selling to out-of-state buyers.
