Might not be too much recoil if you use low recoil buckshot rounds.

My Shockwave (with pistol brace that can be shouldered) is not too bad, but not fun either with 2.75" 00 buck.

It is the weight that is the primary factor in recoil - at 5.25# it is very light for a 12 ga., but also the birdshead grip would be an issue. I have only shot mine with the pistol brace.

I'll admit, the original wasn't doing much for me, but the wood stocks are much more appealing.

Regarding the recoil, the Lupara* I papered/built, isn't bad at all with the 2¼" 00 Mini-Buck shells. It is a bit more peppy with full loads, but I installed a thick recoil paid.

The Serbu Super Shorty (on bottom), acquired around the same time, is downright nasty to shoot though.
