with the assassination of the UHC CEO with a 3D printed suppressor, I first became interested in suppressors
never had a need for one, still don't but I have a desire to learn about them
watched a bunch of videos from Suppressorco on line
read wait time for a Form 4 Legacy permit is now about 60 days
so i know there are mutiple designs such as mono core, K cups, clipped cone cups and 3D printed free flow suppressors
anyone have experience in this area
I have a 300 BLK carbine, I may consider acquiring one for this firearm

Not any experience with those, I have a few Rugged Suppressors, the 2 I use the most is the 22lr Oculus 22, and the Alaskan 360 which goes from my 556 pistol, 300bo, 308, 300win mag, 9mm and more...

Biggest thing to note about cans, if the bullet is supersonic, you still hear nearing protection for the crack of the bullet. The suppressor will take a good bit the concussion from the fired round out.

However, with subsonic, depending on many factors, you can be as noisy as the hammer falling...

I've owned suppressors since 2013. Currently I have eight, with a ninth on order. Three .22, four 9mm, and one .36 cal. My can on order is a 9mm, titanium flow through 3D printed.

It looks like you've done your research regarding the different designs. Monocore isn't super common. I have one (SilencerCo Sparrow) and by many metrics it's considered to be old technology. It's big benefit is its ease of cleaning. K, star, clipped, etc. baffels are the industry standard. Baffel designs are pretty wide ranging and all offer about the same levels of sound reduction. Flow through are all the rage right now, with 3D printed being the newest kid on the block. You also have a lot of options regarding different materials.

Wait times for eForm 4's are much less than 60 days for individual (not sure about trusts, but I think they're longer). My last stamp in June was literally 19 hours. Big improvement from my first at 10 months. Wait times are dependent on a lot of factors, so YMMV. If you do get a can, make sure to use a dealer who will submit through the eForm system. Don't go the paper route as it's antiquated. Most dealer's use Silencer Shop's kiosk network, which is very slick. I'm also a huge fan of Capitol Armory's "ship to your door" system. It takes slightly longer, but you don't need to see a dealer and your can will show up at your doorstep. It's an incredible feature for those that don't have a dealer near by.

There are a ton of options for 300 BLK. It is a very good round to suppress as long as you have subsonic ammo.

If just starting out get a dedicated 22 suppressor that is user serviceable at both ends 22 lr is filthy. The next one should be a 45 suppressor depending on the set up you just change pistons and you can use it on the 300 bo with subs it is quiet . I went with full titanium construction with the stifle baffles works great and easy to clean .

I watched a video on 300 BLK in AR platform
just the bolt slamming closed registered 85db on the meter

Suppressor approval is 24 hours to 4 days now. Used to be 10-16 months.

300blk suppressed is so fun as long as you shoot subsonics. The best part is many 9mm suppressors are rated to handle 300 blackout (subsonic only). So a 9mm suppressor will do 9mm, 300 BlK (subsonic only), and even .22 (with diminished effectiveness). But check to make sure manufacturer lists 300BLk subsonic on their approved calibers list for any given 9mm suppressor.

I prefer flow through designs for cleanliness, less prone to malfunction in certain guns, and less gas in your face. Flow through can be either traditional baffle designs or 3d printed. I have both and they both work well. Suppressors usually identify a minimum barrel length they will work with (ie if you have a 8.5" 300BLK pistol don't use a can approved for a minimum barrel length of 16", get one approved for 8.5" or lower). Have different designs and all have slight differences.

Remember that todays new fangled niche design will eventually be tomorrows mass marketed standard given patent expirations and newer design changes. Only design I don't have is pressed washers in a tube with wipes. All have subtle sound characteristics. None are perfect and none are 'the best'.

Check out slow motion videos on YT showing air flow dynamics. The better their modeling gets the better the designs get. With 3D printing involved it has brought more designs to the table that couldn't be done on a lathe or CNC. I'm no expert, I only slept in a Sleep Number bed last night.

this is the one I'm now looking at for my 300 Blk
there's a dealer in Battleground that carries them
with the trust so my son can keep it
Damn good choice imo. Flow through increases reliability and less gas in your face. Rated for 7mm, 30-06, 300WM etc. combo of 3d printed and steel tube means you can remove 3d printed part to clean. This is the can I wanted to buy but my local shop had just sold it so I haven't bought a 7.62 can yet. But this is the one I would buy.

Only other one I have under consideration is the b&t 3d printed all inconel one. Inconel will last forever but it's not like titanium has an ultra short life or anything. And with ventum you could replace just the 3d printed part if you ever needed to. The titanium one is quite a bit lighter weight than inconel.

Here's a couple short videos comparing amount of gas in your face from reg suppressor, flow through suppressor, and no suppressor. The flow through also reduces wear on parts.

I set up my 300 BLK with a dedicated bolt carrier for Suppressed and a charging handle with a blow back fence

With a flow through can its such a small effect (4%ish change in bolt speed) I doubt you will have to change anything. My inexpensive 8.5" 300 BLK AR pistol works equally good suppressed or unsuppressed with a 9mm flow through can (shooting subsonics).

good feedback
wil let you know after I get it in
I can put in GI BCG and charging handle to test
