Those are "handguard caps" for drop in handguards. There are a few different styles, round, oval, triangle so be sure you know which one you need for the handguard you are installing. Your fsb will need to be removed to install, if you haven't done that before just watch a few videos your fsb pins come out/go in, in a certain direction as they are tapered.

More importantly, you need the correct size cap to match your barrel diameter - a .625" cap isn't going to fit on your .750" gas-block journal. (Well, i guess you could dremel it open or something. )
