I don't think they are the same. I've got one for sale in the classified and compare the pictures of my gun with the ones on the zev website.

They are not. Mega had tighter tolerances and better quality control. Zev recently started producing the "Mega Gator" again but seems sub par compared to the original.

I'm amazed at how tightly the Mega upper and lower fit together....best I've ever experienced.

All the older mega stuff used to be made by Aero subcontracted. FYI.
Buddy worked there, he scored a sweet piston gassed mega complete upper for dirt cheap.
