Both appear to have had the stocks shortened, and somewhat sporterised. This will hurt any collector value. So its just shooter value. they will go for about what a used Savage Axis would go for. or $100 to $250.[ ea] DR

No expert by any means but I have some guns in 7X57 and a little insite on milsutp. The Chilean, depending on what it looks like up close and personal, $250-$350.
The German maybe a little trickier to evaluate as it appears to be a misurp sport job versus sporting Mauser. Sport jobs usually don't hold much value, even with good glass. Doesn't look to be unrestorable, but likely not cost effective to a buyer and only slightly better for the owner. I wouldn't get my hopes up for serious money, the competition with new is fierce for a so-so sporter, nothing exquisite or real fancy.
For comparison, 8 or 9 years ago I paid $200 bucks for this beautiful 03A4 Smith-Corna (listed as milsurp at the LGS), hooded ramp front, Lyman aperture, French walnut wood with fine line checkering, knurled bolt knob, burnished bolt, Timney trigger. PAX

For additional price comparison, what I paid: PAX
Eddystone, $300, & Enfield #4 MK1/2, $70, (I have the bits for both to be saved)

Enfield modded for gettin Safari camp meat-was going to clone a #5, have a receiver and wood, but too much work, $65

Look through the sales (ignore the average) reported at the links, looking for those most like yours.

Here's my observations and input based on the pics provided:

- Chilean M1895 - Barreled action is not cut or modified, could be restored with proper stock and hand guard. The bolt is bent, which is not correct for the M1895 long rifle. Quick check on eBay for stock, $75 plus shipping. Hand guard not easy to find just doing a quick search. $150-$250.

- Gew 98 - Heavily modified, not truly restorable in its condition (cost to high). $150-$300 (closer to $300 with scope/mounts).

Those are the price ranges I would consider for local sale around my area from the info provided. I'd have to see both in person to make a final determination of value, as I would look at bore condition and check headspace on both before making a final offer.
