I got this from a group of rifles that came from an estate. I haven't done anything to it except running a patch through it to check for rust.(none) I then cleaned the barrel and rubbed some linseed oil and gun oil on it. The bore looks good and the action cycles very well. $650.00. I would be interested in a $150 pistol and $500 cash. ( I just got back from the range. This rifle shoots well!) The following are the markings on the rifle.

Top of the barrel: Marlin Firearms Co. NEW-HAVEN, CT U.S.A.
PAT'D NOV.19 1878, APRIL2, 1889, AUG. 12 1890, MAR. 1, 1892

Left side of barrel; 22 S.,L. & L.R.

Serial # Bottom front of action; A4113

On top of tang; MARLIN
MODEL97

Butt plate; SVG with circle around it

I have more pictures if you ask

I have no idea why there are no pictures. I put them on twice! I checked last night and there were pictures. I must be doing something wrong. I will try again now.
