1895GBL (Guide big loop) barely shot lever action rifle chambered in 45-70. Cool piece just wont ever shoot it again. Comes as pictured with green soft case. Non-threaded about 20" barrel. Price is OBO. This is a "Remlin" or a Remington made Marlin. Taking to GB if it doesn't sell.

This might not be the right place to ask (and if not, I apologize for hijacking the thread @Untamo ), but what's the significance of it being "JM stamped"? Is there a difference in models between a "JM" vs a "Remlin"?

Marlin was bought by Remington and production during that time is less desirable for some. I wasn't aware myself until asked about it and did some googling and serial number check. The quality concerns from my take were hit n miss. Sometimes it was fine, other times, not so much. Either way, people don't like changes to the guns they love, and Remington was never a good change for anything they touched.
