Marlin 1895 Trapper - Optic Rail?

Hey All:

Is there an easy way to add an optic rail on a Trapper model? I could go for the SBL (which I had before), but was eyeing the shorter barrel since I want to put my can on it. Any non-bubba options available?

A Dark Series would be exactly what I'd need, but not sure if those are coming back.

EGW makes a pic rail for the 1895 but I would check the bolt pattern on the Trapper model. A 45-70 with an LPVO and a can would be an awesome lever gun.

Thanks all for the info. I jumped the gun and completely missed the fact that you can remove the skinner sights and put on whatever rails / mounts you want.

They are beauties.
I was lucky to find one of the last 1895 Remlins and it is a shooter.
Would make a great elk gun for the dark woods.
Everyone should have at least one levergun in the stable.

Update - Happened to look at Bimart online, and they had one in stock for $1079 with free shipping. Definitely lucked out!
